2020 brings the start of construction of a new luxury villa in Mallorca. This project entails the design of a completely new family home on a hillside with breath-taking views of the Mediterranean Sea. Following the clients´ wishes for a very modern, clean and minimalist style, the building is designed as two simple rectangular volumes rotated in opposite directions, one on top of the other.
This rotation allows for a giant covered porch below the top rectangular volume. The challenge was in finding a way to fit all the required interior spaces as well as create a porch while still adhering to the strict regulations pertaining to building volume allowance.

This project entails the design of a completely new family home in Bunyola, Mallorca, on a hillside with breath-taking views of the Mediterranean Sea. The house has two floor plus a basement, with an infinity pool in the garden.
The clients wanted a luxury villa in Mallorca with a very modern, clean and minimalist style. Because of that we designed two simple rectangular volumes which are rotated in opposite directions, one on top of the other. As a result, there is a giant shady porch underneath the top volume, which does not count towards the built surface. This was important because the strict local regulations specify an exact maximum footprint and volume, smaller than we needed to create all the spaces the clients desired.
