In the mountains near Alicante we have been building a very complex project, the restoration of a very old stone farmhouse of which only the four exterior walls were still standing, plus the addition of various extensions, a pool and a garage.
The house is nearly finished now, with the main farmhouse building clad with an exterior coat of cork insulation, rendered in the traditional way, and several extensions finished in local stone. We will soon set out to make a series of good photos of this project, but in the mean time we want to share some pictures with you. Above a view of the new extensions in stone, and below a picture of the new staircase, made from steel, and clad with oak.
