On October 1 at 10:00 a.m. at the CCIB in Barcelona, Co Govers, founder of Zest Architecture, presents our passive and prefabricated housing prototype that adapts to any terrain: Z1.The presentation will take place within REBUILD 2020 that will take place in Barcelona from September 29 to October 1.
REBUILD is a unique innovation platform that aims to revitalise the building sector. It offers to professionals in the sector a specialized environment where the latest products, materials, solutions and services can be found. REBUILD also convenes the National Congress of Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0. It is a space where you can discover new materials, the latest emerging technologies and the most innovative construction systems. In addition to the Fair-ShowRoom and the National Congress of Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0, REBUILD offers other events that make it an essential event for any businessman or professional in the construction, interior design and rehabilitation sector.
Co Govers will explain in detail the project that her and her team at ZEST Architecture have been developing, within the session entitled “Towards the Energy Transition” that places special emphasis on the social factor of sustainability. ZEST Architecture is known for integrating sustainability and Passive design in all its projects. Given the growing demand for more affordable, bespoke housing situated in a wide variety of locations and with a reduced construction time, and given the continuous changes in recent decades in construction systems and in the climate itself, ZEST believed it necessary to create a housing prototype that, without renouncing the highest quality standards, could be Passive House, prefabricated and additionally be adaptable to any terrain. On these premises our Z1 House was born, a home designed to the smallest detail and with options to adapt finishes, distribution and size. The Z1 House is a real architectural project, with construction systems available on the market for which the detailed cost has been calculated, with no margin for error.
For more details about the project, stay tuned to our blog. Soon we will publish the entire study completed on our Z1 House with explanations of the extensive research process as well as the construction details of the prototype that we have been working on in recent months.
